Safari, beach, and international travel questions

What is included in a Tropisch Tours safari package?

Most packages include accommodation and meals as specified, a private 4×4 Land Cruiser with a professional driver-guide, park or reserve entry fees, scheduled game drives, bottled water on drives, and Nairobi pickup and drop-off where stated. Exact inclusions are listed on each tour package page. Visa or eTA fees, travel insurance, tips, and personal expenses are typically excluded.

Can I see the Big Five on a Tropisch Tours safari?

Yes. Our safaris visit Kenya destinations renowned for the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — including the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo, Ol Pejeta, and Lake Nakuru. Sightings are never guaranteed because wildlife is wild, but experienced local guides maximise your chances on morning and evening game drives.

Are Tropisch Tours & Travel safaris private or shared?

Our safaris are typically private. Your party travels in a dedicated 4×4 Land Cruiser with your own driver-guide, so the pace, photo stops, and itinerary focus stay with you. Shared departures are not our standard model — ask us if you prefer a different arrangement.

Can you arrange safaris for couples, families and private groups?

Yes. We design journeys for couples, families, friends, and private groups. Selected packages offer child rates (typically ages 2–11) and infant-friendly options. Tell us your group size, ages, and interests and we will recommend a published package or a fully tailor-made itinerary.

Why book a Kenya safari with a local Nairobi tour operator?

Booking with Tropisch Tours & Travel means working with a Nairobi-based team with deep East African knowledge, trusted lodge and guide partnerships, and end-to-end logistics from airport arrival to journey home. Local operators can adapt quickly to park conditions, weather, and wildlife movements — with a single point of contact throughout your trip.

What is the best time of year to go on a safari in Kenya?

Safaris run year-round. Dry seasons (June–October and January–February) generally offer the best wildlife viewing and easier road access. The Maasai Mara Great Migration peaks roughly July–October. Green seasons (March–May and November) bring lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and excellent birdlife — ideal if you prefer quieter parks.

How much does a safari or tour package with Tropisch Tours cost?

Costs vary by destination, accommodation, group size, and duration. Our package prices are quoted in USD and currently range from Kenya beach escapes from about USD 799 per person, Zanzibar beach packages from about USD 1,342 per person, multi-day Kenya wildlife safaris from about USD 1,143 per person, and the Singapore & Malaysia Explorer from USD 2,166.37 per person. Do you offer Zanzibar beach packages from Nairobi?

Yes. We offer mid-range Zanzibar Beach Packages from Nairobi, including a 4-day escape and a 5-day beach and culture option. Packages typically include return flights, airport transfers, accommodation, and selected excursions such as Stone Town and spice farm visits. Full rates and inclusions are listed on the package page.

Do you offer Singapore and Malaysia tour packages?

Yes. The Singapore & Malaysia Explorer is a 7-day / 6-night package combining Singapore highlights such as Universal Studios, Sentosa, and Mandai Bird Paradise with Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands, Batu Caves, and Sunway Lagoon. It includes return economy flights, hotels with daily breakfast, and private airport transfers. Current package rate is USD 2,166.37 per person based on a minimum of two travellers.

Can Tropisch Tours arrange airport transfers in Nairobi?

Yes. Many packages include meet-and-greet and airport arrival transfer at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), plus Nairobi pickup and drop-off for road safaris. Standalone airport transfers and Wilson Airport connections for fly-in safaris can also be arranged — share your flight details when you enquire.

Can you arrange accommodation before or after my safari?

Yes. We can arrange Nairobi hotel nights before your safari starts or after you return, as well as beach extensions on the Kenyan coast or Zanzibar, and international add-ons such as Singapore and Malaysia. Tell us your arrival and departure flights and we will build the extra nights into your itinerary.
